Austin is a student at the Missouri University of Science and Technology, where he is currently studying Mechanical Engineering. He hopes to work as a Project Engineer at Mechanical Dynamics & Analysis, Ltd. (MD&A), leading the repair of turbine rotors and generator fields. His current college GPA is 3.43 on a 4.0 scale. Austin graduated from Wright City High School with a 4.02 GPA.

Work Experience:
Austin worked as an intern at MD&A as a Quality Engineer in the summer of 2017 and 2018 and plans to return in 2019. He is still employed with MD&A Repairs as a Quality Engineer working weekends, breaks, and summers when the school schedule permits. Austin was placed in their Generator Specialist training program where he will be taught how to manage the repair of large power generation machinery. Austin also cuts and sells firewood.
Austin has been able to pay his tuition in full by working through school and breaks. Austin appreciates this scholarship as it has greatly helped to achieve his goal of graduating from college debt free.
