At 9:00 a.m., on Saturday morning, the MoDOT Motor Carrier Division Director, B. Scott Marion plans to give an overview of transportation in Missouri. He will discuss the results of the Legislative Task Force-21st Century MO Transportation System Committee that has been meeting throughout Missouri; MoDOT innovations designed to save money; improving safety; MoDOT’s reduction in state rules for motor carriers; construction budget outlooks and potential future legislation.

At 9:30 a.m., Missouri State Highway Patrol Sergeant John Oliveras and Commercial Vehicle Officer Joel Revelle will conduct a training session to include driver/CDL qualifications, vehicle documentation required, vehicle inspection and pre-trip inspection suggestions and a physical demonstration of a roadside inspection for dump trucks.

During the Saturday noon luncheon, Mike Southard, owner of Turn-Key Mobile, Inc. will give a presentation titled “In Car Video Basics 101”. This will cover everything you need to understand about in car video systems that will stand up to insurance companies and in courts.

At 1:30 p.m. Mark Woodward of Missouri Employers Mutual will offer a safety program title, “Keeping the Shiny Side Up: Simple Strategies for Reducing Fleet Incidents”. This session outlines simple and effective strategies that dump trucking companies can use to make their fleets safer.
